The Wolverine Review!!!

WOLVERINES!!! I had to. Wolverine is back! The last few X-MEN movies haven't been the best of films. They've actually been very bad. The last film that had Wolverine in the title was the one that REALLY pissed people off. Something that had to do with a character whose mouth was sewed shut? Something to do with a member of the Black Eyed Peas? I don't know.

Is this film Wolverine's redemption?

The movie opens with a beautiful shot of Japan's ocean during WW2, but the subtlety is short lived, for a nucuelar bomb is about to destroy the camp Wolverine is imprisoned. A soilder named Yashida tells Wolverine to escape, but Wolverine says it would be safer in the prison he is in. The bomb drops, and Wolverine saves Yashida form the blast as his human shield. When we see Wolverine after the blast it's... pretty grusome. Seriously, he looks like ground up hamburger that can heal.

We cut to Wolverine waking up from what was a nightmare. He's out of breath and freaking out, but Jean Grey is there to calm him down. This is the scene where we learn that this movie is set after X-MEN The Last Stand. In that movie Wolverine kills Jean to save everyone, so in this movie he's obviously haunted by that. He tells Jean that he's sorry for what he did, and he'll never hurt her or anyone again. Heh, yeah. I guess that's why you got another movie.

Wolverine wakes again, for that was ALSO a nightmare (Inception). It looks like Wolverine hasn't been doing so well since The Last Stand. He lives in a cave, has his Jean Valjean beard, and is neighbors with bears. Ok. After a very dark scene (involving a bear) Wolverine goes to the local bar looking for a fight. When he's about to pop out the claws he's stopped by a woman named Yukio. She tells him that she has been sent to bring Wolverine to Japan to say goodbye to the dieing Yashida.

When they arive in Japan Wolverine learns that Yashida has become the richest man over the years, and that his home has been attacked many times. When we see Yashida he is talking to his granddaughter Mariko. The obvious love interest of the movie. Logan (Wolverine) talks to Yashida about the curse of imortality. Yashida wants to take Logans healing factor from him so that he can live. Logan says that Yashida doesn't want the mutant power and goes.

Not so long story short.

Wolverine gets his healing factor taken away. Yashida is dead. There's awesome fight scenes. Funeral. Asian Hakeye. Logan and Mariko run away. The Mission to Mars. Jean keeps poping up. Logan and Mariko love each other. Mariko is taken to secret hideout. Logan meets up with Yukio. Logan get's his healing factor back. They go to save Mariko. Silver Samuria kills.... Silver Samuria? Logan saves Mariko. Logan goes of for more adventures.

Oh, forgot to mention a few things.

It turned out that the Silver Samuria was Yashida the whole time. (That was a weak twist). He was in that giant robot suit you see in the trailers. Anyway, he does the Magneto move of sucking out the adamantium and healing factor of Wolverine. He actually cuts of Wolverines metal claws, but Wolverine grows out his bone claws. Cool. There were people in my theater mad about that, but I remembered that there was a time in the comic books where he had the bone claws. It was actually after Magneto sucked out the adamantium and healing factor out of his body.

Maybe he'll get the metal back in Day's of Future Past.... SPEAKING OF WHICH!!!

Yeah. I need to talk about this. The awesomeness of the after credits scene. While the credits are rolling there is a scene that just came out of no where. The scene is set 2 years later in an airport where Logan is about to fly. He looks up at a TV that is advretising TRASK INDURSTRIES. He then see's alot of metal moving and he turns around and is about to strike the person behind him. It turns out the person is MAGNETO!!! He tells Wolverine that there are human forces that are working on something that can destroy all mutants. Wolverine asks how he could trust him. (I wouldn't ask him that. I'd ask "HEY! How'd you get your powers back? Beast gave you the cure! And how are you stopping me from killing you? I don't have any more adamantium!) But anyway.

Magneto tells Wolverine that he couldn't trust him and then PROFFESSER X comes out of no where! He ask the proffesser how heis alive which is what I would actually ask him. He says that there are more powerful forces in the world and then the screen cuts to black.

That is how a post credit scene is done!

My overall thoughts on the movie are that its good, but it had problems. I don't think the villains were very well done in the movie especially that Viper lady. she was barely in the movie she didn't do anything other than put venom on other peoples faces. I don't think the Silver Samurai was handled very well. I think the Harada character had some potential but they didn't really do much with him. I really didn't like the little twist with Yashida. That was really weak.

But I did like how Wolverine was portrayed in this movie. I thought he was scary, I thought he was sympathetic, and I thought he was much more kick ass in this movie then he was in X Men Origins Wolverine. Good job Hugh Jackman.

I'm going to give this movie a high MATINEE!!! It was fun, dark, and made me excited for X Men Days of Future past!!

Hank Pym will be in Ant-Man, but not in Avengers 2.....

It looks like our favorite beater of wives will be in Edgar Writes Ant-Man!!! He announced the news today.

That's all good, but Joss Weadon said that Pym wouldn't be in Avengers 2. That confuses alot of people. If Pym is not in Avengers 2; who will create Ultron?

Leave your thoughts below.

Avengers 2 gets a name!!!

Big news!!! God I hope its good. I love the name, and I love Ultron. I just hope its really good but I hate that event.

One of the reasons I didn't like the event is because they didn't use Ultron that much he was barely in it. He was in the last comic issue.

I am excited to see what Joss Whedon does with this character and does this mean that Ant Man and Wasp will be in Avengers 2?

Hank Pym aka Ant Man did create Ultron, so I think it would be fitting that he's in the movie.

Andrew Garfield talks about Spider-Man's sexuality

Andrew Garfield has been many peoples favorite Spider-Man. I've only seen the Amazing Spider-Man once, but I remember that I wasn't that impressed with him. I liked him, but it wasn't anything memorable. Recently Garfield mentioned something that I found interesting.

This is what he said:

“I was kind of joking, but kind of not joking about MJ,” he tells EW. “And I was like, ‘What if MJ is a dude?’ Why can’t we discover that Peter is exploring his sexuality?  It’s hardly even groundbreaking!…So why can’t he be gay? Why can’t he be into boys?”

I know what Garfield is saying. I understand. The first of two problems I have is... why? Why can't we keep him the way he is? It would be a good "What if?" story, but I just would like to know why he had this idea. The second problem is.... what about Gwen? They've established that Gwen and Peter love each other. This would just be to much for that character to handle.

What do you think?

Was I too hard on the Mandarin?

For those who read my Iron Man 3 review, you'll know that I didn't care for the Mandarin twist. I was more mad than I needed to be, and I was waiting for something that I now know wouldn't work for the movie universe they set up. They could've worked it in some how, but I am much happier that they were smart with this silly character.

I've had some time to think about the twist itself. I thought how it affected the story, and if it was good for it or not. I have come to the conclusion that it was. I still don't know how the Ten Rings can be real and not real, and I still don't know why people say it was a bad movie because if that, and I still don't know why the cake was a lie.

I have grown to like the twist, and I started to realize that I actually laughed at it. I am going to end this saying that I NOW thought it was a good twist.

My Top 5 Favorite Superheroes!!!

There is so much superhero stuff going on. I love it. I love watching the movies, listening to the opinions, and haveing that feeling that everything is good. I thought it was about time to write about my favorite heroes. Yes, I am excited for movies based on other heroes, but there are just a few that peak my interest more. Let's get to it!

NUMBER 5!!!

Yes, I am going to get a lot of crap for this, but it doesn't matter. Aquaman is one of the most hated comic book characters in history, and there is no reason for that. Why do people hate this guy so much? What stupid thing has he done in the past (other that Smallville) to make people mock him. Nothing. All I'm going to say on the matter is... Family Guy.

When you think about Aquamans powers they aren't as bad as people say they are. He has super strength, can leap above tall buildings, has telepathy, can control water with his wife Merra, he punched out Superman, and yes, he can control sea creatures. He doesn't talk to them, they aren't smart enough to do that. They mentioned all this hate for Aquaman in his New 52 series, which is brilliant for the character. He's just saying "Hey, I am who I am."

Oh and Aquaman loves to eat fish and chips.

NUMBER 4!!!

Super soilder, leader of the Avengers, and overall cool guy, this is Captain America. Yeah the name sounds silly, but the name was created in the 40's, and Cap is pretty nostalgic. I remember when people used to make fun of Captain America before his 2011 movie came out. People said "Captain America? That fruity looking boy scout? That guy's movie didn't work in the 90's, and it's not gonna work now!" and now we're getting The Winter Soilder so...

For those who don't know the origin of Captain M'erica; I'll make it quick. Weak little Steve Rogers wants to join the army and serve his country like a man. No one accepts him, because he's not strong enough phisically. He has the heart, just not the muscel. Scientist Abraham Erskine finds Steve and wants to help him. He gives Steve the Super Soilder Serum and basically 'roids him up. Erskine is killed, and the serum is lost. Steve goes to war to fight some Nazi's.

70 years later, Cap is found in some ice by the Avengers. From then on Captain America became leader of the Avengers.

His powers are super strength, agility, fast thinking, and a great throwing arm. Have you seen the way he throws that shield?

I love the character so much because unlike all the other heroes ever, he is not afraid to kill. He's a soilder. He'll do what he needs to do, as we have seen in the Ultimates. Star and stripe, but filled with alot of soilder.

NUMBER 3!!!

As you could probably tell from my Man of Steel review, I am a big Superman fan. He's a great character, is iconic to so many, and he's the first superhero. I'm not going to get into his origin, because a movie about him just came out.

His powers are heat vision, super strength, super speed, freeze breath, flight, super hearing, alot of stuff. If you like it, great, if not, I can understand. That's alot of powers for one guy. They never bothered me because, there was something else to get mad about. Kryptonite. Kryptonite is the weakness of Superman. It can do different things. Red Kryptonite can take his powers away. Yellow Kryptonite can make him go crazy. Green Kryptonite can kill him. So, it's stupid.

I love the character and am excited to see what they do for Man of Steel 2!

NUMBER 2!!!

He's Batman, of course he's gonna be on this list! Do I really have to say anything? I think I've expressed how much I love this character. Let's move on to...

NUMBER 1:

The Ultimate Spider-Man. Not the T.V show, not Miles Moreales, but Ultimate Peter Parker. For those who aren't into comics. There is an Ultimate Marvel Universe. It is alternate from Earth 616 (the main Marvel Universe). The comics have become so popular that the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) have used some aspects from the Ultimate Universe.

One of the first comics that came out for the Ultimate Universe was Ultimate Spider-Man. It focused on Peter Parker as a teenager in high school. He dealt with homework, crushes, and being a young superhero. The series kept on going until 2011. They ended it with "Ultimate Fallout: The Death of Spider-Man." The story had Green Goblin, Kraven the Hunter, Electro, Sandman, and Vulture team up to kill Spider-Man. Before the 5 villains found him, Peter was shot by the Punisher while saving Captain America. He fought through the gun shot wound to stop the 5 villains. At the end of the comic, Peter died.

He has the same powers as Earth 616 Spidey. I loved this character so much because he was just so relateable. So many things going on in the story that just work so well.

Well that's all I got. Hope you enjoyed. :)

World War Z Review!!!!

This review is dedicated to Gritty Grant

Oh my god. I understand why people hate this movie. I don't hate it, but I understand. They hate the movie because they say it has nothing to do with the book. I never read the book. I was never interested in reading the book. People kept on telling me that it was the best zombie story ever, and I considered to read it, but this movie made me step 100,000,000 miles away from that book. The best thing that I experianced was the movie theater. I went to the Arclight in Pasadena, and that is the fanciest movie theater I have ever been to. I was surprised a waitor didn't come up to me in the theater and aski "Would you like to see a better movie sir?"

Let's get into the story. We follow a small family while the Zombie Apocolypse is happening. The father Geffrey (Brad Pitt) must go on missions to find a cure for this out break. That's all that happens.

Ok, I'll give the movie some credit. The family is charming until the out break happens, and there is potential with the premis. The cool thing about the movie is that it takes place at the begining of the out break. Most Zombie movies and shows are set after the crazieness. The problem with that is in this movie is, is that it is boring. When they aren't showing the Zombies, it is boring.

Even the Zombie scenes aren't that fun or cool. We don't see the Zombies attack anyone clearly, because a lot of this movie is shot in shakey cam. I can't stand it. I swear I was going to sleep.

The acting is ok. Brad Pitt isn't anything special. He needed to give more emotion than "DUUUUURRR."
I was surprised no one mistook him for a Zombie and killed him.

Overall this movie sucks. It's not terrible, but if you want to see fake looking Zombies doing stupid things, this is a RENTAL!
